extremely?
Just to communicate this short. First Iron man was amazing. The second one was blah. There was nothing exciting. They just added more bad guys and more growth.Where was the story that pulled you in or make you go:"noooo way".. it just lacked in that deparment. The effects were categorically well put together.music was good and just the sound effects overall were really good. The more recent one definetly has more humurous scenes and cheesy twists

If you're going to make sequel, atleast try to get the same tinge members to be in the second one.The new replacement didn't really make the movie better.it exactly didn't fit in.The movie is just cheesy(not spoiling)

a Third one? wahts it going to have? more robots then the go along with one? every gadget going to be pocket size?not really looking foward to seeing the third one.
everything that is improper with hollywood sequels you will find here
let's take everything that was data d fabric about the first one and do it bigger!! forget character development! the best part of this movie was when Tony finds the report from his father that says "You were my greatest creation." That right there was the only redeeming quality of the screenplay i could find. i felt like they were stressful to do too many things with this film, just like spider man 3. after this, i don't want to hear anymore critical about spiderman 3 because this movie has the same exact problems and no one puts this film on blast like they do spider man 3!! another question i had is that all the battle scenes are in the lamest locations! night clubs? i don't want to see iron man mask off with war machine in a night club. that is lame. out of all the locations on this planet they pick night clubs. also not enough mickey rourke!! i hated the whole Tack hammer scheme thing, i felt like i was watching a movie from Fox news!! yuck! also why is treacherous widow in this? she serves no purpose other than to have fans say "hey thats black widow!" her role was empty and sham. also what's with the director giving himself his own action scene?! stay behind the camera fatty!! i didn't pay to see a whey-faced man in a tux fight, i paid to see iron man!!!! also the way Tony addresses the court or investigators was sooooo far fetched it was like "c'mon nobody can talk like that to an verified." also how convenient was it for tony to wirelessly send satellite projections across the screen during that investigation. it was like c'mon!!! at least try to be imaginative in presenting your information. i hate it when characters magically do computer hacks when in reality it's far more complicated than that!! also the way Don took Tony's courtship was soooo lame, almost like how your kid brother goes into your closet when your not looking to take your clothes. so Tony has all this expensive tech stuff but can't put a lock on his war machine suit?! this is Don, "Tony give up the suit." this is Tony, "No." don then goes into Tony's stall and steals it like it was a polo shirt. THAT DEFINITLY WAS NOT HOW MY DREAM BATTLE BETWEEN TONY AND WAR Mechanism WAS SUPPOSE TO BE!!!!!there was something also about how Tony was carrying himself in this film, as if his road to redemption in the first film never happened;he reasonable went right back to being a narcissitic capitalistic pig. point blank, this movie sucked and i only gave it 2 stars for the cinematography. impecunious writing, poor set locations, poor directing, and the worst final showdown of all moment!! bad guy is beaten with a tag teaming fart, plew! mickeys dead...
It was careful...
but Tony does a few things that a aptitude probably wouldn't - like slicing half of his electrical panels in the lab in two....

The middle is a bit unwilling, but overall it's good. I think my main problem with the movie is just that Tony makes errors that us non-geniuses wouldn't.
Ironman 2: Bigger and Dumber
I see like I'm taking crazy pills! I don't understand why so many people think this is a good membrane. The film that I saw was a very poor sequel to Ironman, which is in no way, shape or form as good as The Dark Knight. The first ten minutes was cut so strict that the performances felt like they were derived from a trailer. The original had heart that balanced Tony Onset's narcissistic personality and his scenes with Pepper were cute and amusing to watch. The scene where his arc generator requirements to be replaced is hilarious because it is a life threatening situation but Tony doesn't seem phased at all. In the follow-up, there are very few redeeming scenes, and they seem to have wasted all the budget on extravagant locations and the Stark Expo.

The lone scene that was somewhat moving is when Tony discovers the message from his father Howard. And Mickey Rourke's Vanco honesty could've had a great tie-in to the main plot if he held the key to saving Tony's life. Instead, he perfectly becomes a de facto villain and we have the "Roger Roger" bots that obviously are not going to cause any problems excluding from a few bullet holes here and there. Jeff Bridges was a much better villain than Sam Rockwell and Mickey Rourke put together. The location where he gets drunk and gets in a fight with War Machine is quite moronic and juvenile. And the Avengers cameos are bewitching away the integrity of the individual films. Incorporating them after the credits would be fine, but leave the verifiable films alone Marvel, for christsakes! Ironman 2 is simply bigger and dumber.
Iron Man is the Man
What can I say? Iron man movies are non-stop effect, humor and fun. Robert Downey Jr does a great job in just about anything he is in (one exception Sherlock Holmes). Loved the talkie and in Blue Ray with a Bose Home theater system I have watched it several times. The only way to buy this is in Blue Ray if you have something to play it in.

I have not recieved this matter yet. My money has been taken out off my account but not record of where product is.
Not very happy about this with this being my first time buying off of amazon. Not planning on buying anything in the tomorrow's.
Avatar two disc set
Distinguished movie. One of my favorites, great cinematography and message. I enjoy the two disc set, one in Blu-Ray and one regular DVD so I can take to watching it on either player.
Lofty-quality playback
At 29Mbps, the Blu-ray disc included in this BD/DVD combo plays back very smoothly. I protection't tried the DVD yet, but since I assume most people are getting this for the BD, I can assure you it works perfectly fine. No closest features, which isn't a problem unless you really, really want them.
Wonderful special effects
It was very solid and interesting. I was impressed with the story and the special effects.
Hoary people save the world again!
Once again, a flicks where white people seek to destroy the exotic "other" out of greed and it is up to the white people to preserve them.

Instead of Native Americans (Dances With Wolves), Asians (The Last Samurai), Africans (Blood Lozenge) or African Americans (Freedom Writers, Dangerous Minds and similar ilk) we now have the Na'vi, CGI blue residents living in Cameron's idealized Eden.

Non-memorable dialogue, a predictable plot and symbols in full stereotype.

BUT...the special effects are incredible. Watch it for the visual stimuli but we've seen this all before.

Description

What made the ingenious Toy Story so great, besides its significant achievement as the first-ever feature-length computer animated film, was its talents to instantly transport viewers into a magical world where it seemed completely plausible that toys were living, sensible beings who sprang to life the minute they were alone and wanted nothing more than to be loved and played with by their children. Toy Piece 3 absolutely succeeds in the very same thing--adults and children alike, whether they've seen the original shoot or not, find themselves immediately immersed in a world in which Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack), Mr. and Mrs. Potato First (Don Rickles and Estelle Harris), Ham (John Ratzenberger), Rex (Wallace Shawn), the aliens, and the hit the hay of Andy's toys remain completely devoted to Andy (John Morris) even as he's getting given to pack up and leave for college. Woody scoffs at the other toys' worries that they'll end up in the garbage, assuring them that they've earned a mark of honor in the attic, but when the toys are mistakenly donated to Sunnyside Daycare, Woody is the only toy whose observance to Andy outweighs the promise of getting played with each and every day. Woody sets off toward home alone while the other toys land in for some daycare fun, but things don't turn out quite as expected at the daycare thanks to the scheming, strawberry-scented old-timer shoulder Lots-o'-Huggin' (Ned Beatty). Eventually, Woody rejoins his friends and they all attempt a grit escape from the daycare, which could destroy them all. The pacing of the film is impeccable at this point, although the sense of insecurity may prove almost too intense for a few young viewers. Pixar's 3-D computer animation is top-notch as always and the voice facility in this film is tremendous, but in the end, it's Pixar's uncanny ability to combine drama, action, and humor in a way that irresistibly draws viewers into the wonderful of the film that makes Toy Story 3 such great family entertainment. One of the Unsurpassed...Ever.
My mope are about Andy's age,(18 and 21), my wife and I took them to see 'Toy Story' (1995) around Thanksgiving which is also their birthdays (11/19 and 11/25)...LOVED IT!! Bought them both Phone and Woody for Christmas that year...the following summer we went to Disney World and battle-scarred the great 'Toy Story' parade in MGM Studios...magical. 'To Infinity ...and Beyond' is part of our lexicon.

Toy Summary 2, (1999) the quality of the digitalization improved exponentially and the story was great...all of us loved it. We soup that was it.

Toy Story 3, (2010) again, Pixar has outdone themselves. My kids are in college, so the wife and I watched it alone...how bittersweet. I never brooding a trilogy had the potential to be as consistently good as this. Yes, I'll admit it, I cried at the end. This is up there with 'Godfather I, II and III'... and 'Back to The Later I, II and III'.

Thomas Wolfe was right, you can't go home again...

This Silver screen Is Far out man its the best cartoon i seen Since The Lion King! I Thought there was going to die but i found out they Lived im so gratified its real good.
Wow, this was outstanding
This shoot was so powerful. I know it is a "cartoon" but it was so profound. It will really get the adults at the end and captivates the children the express time. There are a few scary parts for sensitive really young children so be cautious. As a fountain-head, you will have some tears...
So Famous it Should be Considered for a Best Picture Oscar (and not just the animated category)!
I've found that Pixar films are often like The Beatles' songs: they first premiered for kids but everyone can from them - and after time and closer examination, you find that they're actually geared more toward adults; they get better as the years proceeding; and those who don't like them, you seriously question their taste. Sure, there's maybe one or two that aren't too favorable (for me, I refer Cars [Blu-ray], the only Pixar film I'm not too crazy about, to "Revolution 9"), but, mostly, they're all pretty much genius. I see there are anti-Beatles fans out there who are cursing my words. To them, I say, "Sorry, but I hope you know that whatever musician/gang you really love, it's most likely they were influenced by The Beatles. You can't deny that The Beatles are a paramount in the music determination." Anyway, let's move on ...

The franchise that built Pixar returns to the masses for a third installment. I remember the first Toy Story (Two-Disc Close Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo w/ Blu-ray Packaging) being really good but I wasn't as crazy for it as most everyone else. Then, the sequel came out and I unreservedly loved it. Over the years, I re-watched the first film a few times, and each time I watched it (like the first Shrek (Full Divide Single Disc Edition)), I enjoyed and appreciated it more and more. Like any third film in a trilogy, as a fan or someone who essentially enjoyed the first two films, you hope that the last film is just as good, if not better, than the first two. Unfortunately, you're often foiled. Even the sacred trilogies of the original Star Wars Trilogy and The Godfather - The Coppola Restoration Giftset (The Godfather / The Godfather Part II / The Godfather Part III) [Blu-ray] films had flatten victim to a bad/subpar final third act. But for those young and old fans of Woody and Buzz and all of Andy's toys, "Toy Allegation 3" will not disappoint you in the least!

The brilliance of the "Toy Story" films is that it's not just a story about talking toys for kids to go ga-ga over. It's also a history about getting older and what that means to you and to those you care about, concern over growing out of relationships, building new relationships, compliant yourself for who you are and being OK with it, and moving on to what's next in life ... even though it can be excruciatingly scary. In this installment, we find the toys looking to find a recognize for themselves - and overcoming their own insecurities - now that their owner Andy is grown up and moving to college. Now here's where "Toy Story 3" shows its ability. In a trilogy where the human characters, although central to the storyline, haven't had much screen time, this shoot wraps up Andy's childhood in his home with his mom all in front of our eyes. And for any parent, whether you've had to see your kid(s) off away from home already or still have yet to exposure it, it's understandably a bittersweet moment. It's that moment that will have moms weeping like babies, dads struggling to garrotte back the tears (even for me, who watched this scene with my daughter next to me), and those who don't even have kids appreciating the raw emotion and impact of such an destined moment in life.

But let's not overlook the extremely clever humor that also goes with the trilogy and notably "Toy Story 3." Not only are talents like Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear), Don Rickles (Mr. Potato Skull©), John Ratzenberger (Hamm the Piggy Bank), Joan Cusack (Jesse), Wallace Shawn (Rex), Blake Clark (stuffing in for Jim Varney as Slinky Dog), Estelle Harris (Mrs. Potato Head©), and Jodi Benson (Barbie©) effortlessly bringing significant laughs, but also newcomers Michael Keaton (Ken©), Whoopi Goldberg (Stretch), Jeff Garlin (Buttercup the Unicorn), Kristen Schaal (Trixie), Bonnie Tracking down (Dolly), Timothy Dalton (Mr. Pricklepants), and even baddie Ned Beatty (Lotso) add more humor that is subtile but hilarious without being too goofy or over-the-top - like most kids' movies nowadays. "Toy Story 3" has the entire box: drama, comedy, action, and even romance. But most importantly, it's got heart! This may sound hokey, and any screen that tried to capture all of these different genres might come off as such. However, Disney Pixar has mastered their storytelling, and they have an uncanny way of tying all of these positively together to churn out some of the best movies (animated or not) today. Their animation has also emphatically improved with this latest unchain. In the scene where Buzz Lightyear's back panel is being opened and the tiny screws are taken out, when the camera closes up on them, the screws look like realistic live-action, non-animated screws. There are several instances where the animation doesn't look like spirit at all!

One of my absolute favorite films last year was Pixar's Up (Four-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + BD Live) [Blu-ray]. In fait accompli, it's one of my favorite films of all time. With every feature that Pixar has released, I keep wondering when their streak of horrific films will end. I'm happy that they have yet to release a bad film. Even their animated shorts at the beginning of their feature films are gargantuan. This time, their short feature, "Day & Night," is the best they've ever done - in animation and in story. It's my new favorite, alluring the place of "For the Birds" which preceded Monsters, Inc. (Four-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray], and it should win awards. Complete, I would take movies like "Toy Story 3" over supposed hits like Avatar (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo) [Blu-ray] any day! I've seen James Cameron's blockbuster and even though his filmmaking techniques were groundbreaking, the Edda was extremely predictable just from watching the trailer, uninspiring and trite (the story being a recycled result of several films, most notably "Dances with Wolves," "Pocahontas," and even Cameron's own earlier, recovered release The Abyss (Special Edition), which focused more on emotion rather than special effects).

Trustworthy enough, Pixar has done it again! Their latest is sure to win an Oscar and I'd be surprised if it didn't. "Toy Story 3" is an enjoyable moviegoing sense, regardless of whether you have kids or not. It's a fun ride for all and not to be missed; this should be one of the films you definitely see in the theaters this summer!
not my partiality, but...
complete i thought this was a great movie and a great way to end the trilogy. cant wait for the blu-ray release!

Greatest of the seriews
This is deliberate by most as the best of the series and the Skynet version is the premium version. It is must for anyone's collection.
skynet printing BD
I bought the skynet BD to put back the copyright 2000 T2 Ultimate Edition DVD I had . I can't imagine this film looking any better than this. It's a bit old-fashioned now from its 91 release and that's most noticeable in the vehicles IMO. The movie is an action classic though. The liquid metal terminator was high-frequency tech for its time. I chose to watch the 156 minute extended special issue, there were a couple scenes I didn't remember from before. Great movie @ a friendly price (thanks amazon). I dearth a "mini" gun now :)
End this terminator disc.
I bought this Blu-ray disc enceinte great things. I have a new (about 6 months old) Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray player and I cannot get the disc to play. I even down overloaded nine upgrades to the player and it still will not play. I understand wanting the best disc format for this haze, but that is no good if it won't play.
Brilliant movie!
Video take is excellent for being an older movie. Well done. The movie itself is awesome and the audio is also great and well done. Great blu ray for the sacrifice!
Cute good but I prefer the original
This is a quite good sequel to the original, but I have to say I didn't enjoy it as much. T1 just felt more intense when I watched it. I'm not saying you're customary to feel that way, because most people I know prefer this one. Anyway, I still really enjoyed this movie.

Is a DLP projector compatible with showing Blu-Ray movies? Is the picture any bette than normal viewing?

I have a DLP projector at at ease and was curious if the crispness of Blu-Ray or HD movies will show being played through it.

Yes, a Blu-ray (or HD DVD) competitor would be compatible (assuming you have an HDCP compliant (see below) DVI or HDMI input on your projector),...

How much space do Blu Ray movies take up on a BD disk?

I wanted to discern exactly how big the movies are on the Blu Ray disks when you buy them?

I'm not talking about the actual size of the Blu Ray disks (Which the dual layered Blu Ray disks are 50 gigs I fantasize) but the data on them.

Also, have the movies on the disks changed in size since the launch of the Blu Ray players

Yes. The cinema size is between 15-30 GB with some below that and some above that depending on bitrate and movie length. There aren't too many...
